Online Stye Treatment

Care for a painful eyelid stye — a licensed provider can guide treatment and prescribe when appropriate, from home.

Care for Eyelid Styes

A stye is a tender, red bump that forms on the edge of the eyelid, usually from a blocked or infected oil gland. Most styes are not serious and improve with simple home care, though some benefit from additional treatment.

During a virtual visit, a licensed provider can review your symptoms and recommend a care plan, including prescription treatment when appropriate, and advise when an in-person eye exam is needed.

Our Stye Services

  • Virtual evaluation of eyelid bumps and irritation
  • Warm-compress and self-care guidance
  • Prescription treatment when clinically appropriate
  • Advice on preventing future styes
  • Referral for in-person eye care when needed

How Treatment Works

Most styes respond to warm compresses applied several times a day, which help the blocked gland drain. Your provider may recommend additional treatment in some cases and will advise an in-person exam if the bump is large, worsening, or affecting your vision.

Your visit is a flat $39 — a transparent, cash-pay rate with no insurance required.

When Telehealth Is a Good Fit

  • A typical, tender bump on the eyelid
  • Mild symptoms without vision changes
  • Wanting guidance and treatment options from home

When to seek in-person care: Seek in-person eye care for vision changes, significant eyelid swelling, pain in the eye itself, or a stye that worsens or does not improve with home care.
